PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE  2015-16

Welcome to the Father Joseph Venini Website!

It is a true privilege to continue to serve you as Principal of Father Joseph Venini Catholic School!  It is a blessing to be part of such a wonderful community. Our school community is made up of approximately 280 students from JK to Grade 8 and many caring staff members who are dedicated to helping our students to become life long learners who see Jesus as their role-model. Our students are constantly striving to be the best people they can be, working towards academic excellence, and towards achieving the Catholic Graduate Expectations. Our community includes wonderful parents and guardians, extended family, and of course, our vibrant parish community: St. Joseph the Worker. The trinity of Home, School and Parish is a very important link.   Here at Father Joseph Venini CS, we try our best to be stewards of creation as we continue with our environmental initiatives. We continue to strive to improve as an Eco-School and will continue to encourage each other to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle through new and exciting projects. We have many helping hands assisting us with our BREAKFAST PROGRAM (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) but we can always use more support. This year, in addition to working on workingthrough our Numeracy Action Plan, we will be focusing on 21st Century Learning, and on equity for all. Our Mental Health initiative will include a school-wide focus on Self-Regulation, using resources such as the Zones of Regulation. We are continuing to focus on attendance, because being at school and on time is so important in the consolidation of routines which students require to be successful as they develop. I look forward to another wonderful, productive and happy year here at FJV.

 Sincerely,

Anna Camazzola, Principal
